ArtD’Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization which brings together a team of skilled artists who aims to connect patrons and lovers of art and create a positive impact to the society. After hearing the issue faced by these students we came up with a project to help them and at the same time promote art for a good cause.

On June 27, we celebrated Helen Keller day by designing a 10×7 painting as a tribute to Helen Keller who is famed as the ‘Advocate of the blind’. This painting effectively captures the life history of Helen Keller on a canvas combining eccentric styles of three gifted artists.

A poised figure of Helen Keller, fondling a yellow rose with a braille book on her lap, placed in the heart of an abstract background with intricate white lines which depict the remarkable moments in her life. The yellow rose in the painting has been embossed so that the visually impaired could also experience the simple beauties that nature provides. The basic images and few of her significant life events are portrayed as pencil sketches below.
The painting was exhibited on June 27, Helen Keller’s birthday as a tribute to her extraordinary ordeals in life.

This painting is part of our larger mission to help the visually impaired, especially to encourage the students and bring a difference in their lives. We want these students to be connected in today’s fast paced digital world and help them pursue their passions. Being blind should never stand as an obstacle in the journey to their dreams.

We hope to sell print copies & the original paintings to raise funds for this humble mission.

A huge portion of the money we raise will be used for purchasing computers and laptops specialized for the blind students. Another small portion will be kept aside for the artists who worked hard in creating these masterpieces and the rest of the amount will be used for conducting exhibitions and art workshops for ArtD’Hope.

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision”
